In the third quarter of 2023, the top five dining and restaurant apps on Android in the Dominican Republic displayed a range of performance metrics, according to data from Sensor Tower. Here’s a closer look at the trends in downloads and weekly active users for these leading apps.

Zomato: Food Delivery & Dining experienced significant fluctuations in downloads throughout the quarter. Starting with just a handful of downloads in late June and early July, the app saw a remarkable increase, peaking at about 3.2K downloads in mid-September. Weekly active users also showed a positive trend, rising from around 5.2K at the beginning of the quarter to approximately 6.8K by the end of September.

KFC RD maintained a steady download rate, with numbers generally ranging between 300 to 600 downloads per week. The highest download count was about 602 in the last week of August. However, data on weekly active users was not provided for this period.

Burger King® RD also showed stable download metrics, with numbers fluctuating slightly but generally staying within the range of 200 to 500 downloads per week. The app saw its highest downloads, approximately 507, in the last week of August.

Pizzarelli had more modest download numbers compared to the other apps. Downloads ranged from around 128 to 310 per week, with a peak of about 310 in mid-July. Similar to KFC RD, there was no data available for weekly active users.

Yelp: Food, Delivery & Reviews saw a consistent increase in downloads over the quarter. The app started with around 172 downloads in late June and peaked at approximately 246 in early September. Weekly active users showed a gradual increase from about 337 at the start of the quarter to roughly 443 by early September.
